“ We love everything about Los Mezcales and will definitely be returning any time we are in town! We haven't had a dish yet that we wouldn't order again. Love the decor and dinnerware, it truly helps towards an authentic feel. Everyone who works here is attentive, great with explaining menu items and accommodating substitutions for the picky eaters in your group. Highly recommend the ceviche (the less spicy option) - the best we've ever had! ”
“ Food had great taste but both of our burritos were cold. Cheese sauce was runny but also cold. We ate as is - still very flavorful and did not tell the staff. Didn't really want them to microwave it to warm it because it had the most amazing guacamole on it! Cute place and wait staff very friendly and punctual. Chips are light and fluffy but salsa really not flavorful. Very cute service plates! I'd go again and if I lived closer would definitely make this one of my go to places. Just go! It's good! ”
“ Super delicious spot for lunch. Ordered the soup and had plenty of shredded meat in it. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend and for sure coming back Inside is super clean. ”
“ Second time to visit here. My wife and I dropped in on Saturday night she had a bowl and I had a quesadilla with carne asada. We both enjoyed our meals. She had a solid margarita. There were several flavors of margarita available but we only tried the lime. ”
“ Don't sleep on this hidden gem in Fremont, Nebraska! This is a cute restaurant in downtown Fremont in a neat, old, historic building that the owners have decorated nicely. The decor isn't overwhelming and the music wasn't loud. Both wins in my book. We stopped for lunch on a Saturday and they were not busy which is disappointing to see. We seated ourselves and our waiter was prompt to bring us menus and water. I ordered the cucumber margarita as it was the special that day and it was very refreshing. We ordered the Chips with queso, guacamole and salsa appetizer. It was huge! A large basket of chips with generous portions of dips. All of them were really good. I ordered the Tostadas de Tinga for my entrée and was not disappointed. Three large, crispy tostadas piled with chicken, beans, cabbage, sour cream, cheese, onions and tomatoes. We could have shared the meal the portions were so generous. Our entire bill was only $40 which I think is an amazing value for the quality of food we received. My only issue I had was our server never checked on us to see if we wanted more drinks. I would have probably ordered another margarita if he had checked on us. Not a huge deal but something to consider. We will definitely be back! ”
“ On the Nebraska Passport trail we decided to check out this Fremont Mexican restaurant. Since it was spur of the moment and we had our dogs, we ordered takeout. Since Bookguy loves ramen, the ramen birria was calling his name. It was a huge serving with a hearty, meaty taste that wasn't spicy. It came with cilantro and onion on the side to add in. I ordered a crunchy wrap. It was also huge. I'm not sure what all was in it , but there was a choice of protein and mine had chicken. Truthfully, I would have liked it better without the meat, but that didn't seem to be an option. It was crunchy and flavorful. The menu had a lot of different items that are not seen on typical Mexican menus which makes it a culinary adventure. The Margarita menu was intriguing too, but not for us today. Now we have to plan another trip to Fremont without our dogs so we can dine in. ”
“ Been coming here for a while and love their food. This is the only Mexican restaurant I go to in town. Service has always been good and the ambiance is welcoming and pretty. My only complaint is that their guacamole doesn't actually have pieces of tomato or onion, it seems like they just use a seasoning. Maybe it was just a bad bowl of guac for me and it's not normally like that. Definitely recommend! ”
“ This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever ate at. Their margaritas are made fresh without mixes and their Micheladas with homemade chamoy and tajin are the best I have ever had. We love to get their appetizer that comes with their homemade queso, guacamole and salsa with chips. If you are in Fremont you definitely want to try here. ”
“ From start to finish this place is amazing. You're greeted with friendly smiles and a very chill atmosphere. The place is immaculate! Our hostess was probably the best ever, she was so friendly and explained everything from certain items on the menu to what the daily specials were. First and foremost when you come here, because it's not an "if", get a fresh, and I mean FRESH, margarita. Regardless of the flavor, you will not be disappointed. Obviously some queso, quac and salsa are a must (and delicious) to help you decide what you'd like from the phenomenal menu. Or again, ask the team working. Alas I went with a carne asada nacho bowl, my wife ordered birria tacos, along with a "to-go" of the ramen (AMAZING), while my Mom went for the chicken tinga chimichanga. This is my 2nd time visiting this wonderful restaurant and I can assure you it will not be the last. Excellent team members who engage with you, the best drinks around and beyond amazing food....count me in! What are you waiting for, get out to Fremont and try this place. ”
